where has b+p been for the last 3 months? we’ve been recording our next album, and finally wrapped up the tracking portion of the process this past week. it’s been a major effort and we’ve had lots of help, including fantastic assistance from our producer kieran kelley. we’ve had lots of guest musicians on this record, something we always wanted to do but hadn’t been able to fit in on past records; old friends to new friends, it’s been quite an experience.
will stratton has a new album out this month that’s really great. will wrote several of the string and horn arrangements for our new record.

1 tomorrow we start the recording of our next album; a record we’ve loved/hated/argued about/written/unwritten/co-writen/torn up/shipped/shaped/grizzlybearacized/degrizzlybearacized/thenanimalcollectivacized/thende-animalcollectivacized/thendidonegoodde-neutralmilkhotelasizing and whatever for like 2 years — basically, we’ve decided we want the record to sound like MBV if they had formed in athens in the early 1990s and hung out with the elephant six guys and then convinced the beluah guys not to go major label and then drag a few cool early 80s new york guys into the mix. oh man. i’m losing steam.
